My two favorite paintings I've done this year are of two of my favorite people. Stirling, my man-friend, who is the head man of the band Alameda, and Jessie is the head gal of the same band. I painted Jessie walking in NE Portland somewhere thinking this painting would be the cover of the French release of their last album. Unfortunately the Frenchies never came through and now this painting remains just a painting in my living room for this Francophile to admire. I painted it on green paper.
This next one is of Stirling playing the guitar in a coffee shop called The Boiler Room in Port Townsend, WA. This is a pretty shabby coffee shop compared to the ones I'm used to here in PDX, but charming nonetheless.
